Once this is set up, whenever a user creates an opportunity, the price list will be auto-selected based on the territory the sales person belongs to, and the price list associated with that territory.

Open the territory record and add the sales contact(s) operating in that territory, using the “Members” link in the left navigation menu.

Navigate to Settings > Business Management > Sales Territory. Select the connection role as “Territory Default Price List.” It is an OOB connection role. Open the price list record and use the territory grid to add a connection to a specific territory. Step 2: Connect a Territory With the Price List Under the “Sales” tab, select “Yes” for “Allow selection of default price list for opportunity via inbuilt rule.” Navigate to Settings > Administration > System Settings. To set up the D365 inbuilt feature based on the user’s territory, follow the steps below: Step 1: Enable the Inbuilt Rule Additionally, a D365 feature that was introduced in 2015 Update 1 has an inbuilt feature that allows the auto-selection of a price list based on the user’s territory. In Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365), selecting a price list is very important because the line items on the opportunity depend on the selected price list.Ī user can select a price list manually or by building custom logic the price list can be automatically populated.
